Fulcrum Response was borne by change. This effort was named "Fulcrum" very deliberatly...
A Fulcrum is a physical pivot point, and those apply in coaching weightlifting, swimming and many other orthopaedic or physics conversations
However, a sharp pivot point can also be the description of a life change too
This was my journey, and what prompted me to spend the last decade adding to my knowledge base
The learning was always exciting and there was always a new way that I could help others move better
Over time it has evolved to a point where this unique mix of these dogmas, combined with water training observations of many years created the gravity based recipe that I use with clients today
You could say I am gravity obscessed
I have been a swimmer all my life so water was the basic premise for how I learned to use ranges of gravity in my training work with clients. I work with many individuals in the water who have too much difficulty managing movement or building muscle on dry land. Having less than bodyweight weight on our joints or troublesome spaces allows us to push further into strenghtening and improving those areas. Considering the background of water and interchangeable weight room thinking: This gave me focus of dry land mobility and end range work as it applies to traditional swimmers or Tri-Atheletes
Learning to swim (kids and adults) was a large part of what I have done too
My obervation has been that swimming or movement through water is totally core and neuro control dependant.
It is hard to think of a more core and mobility related sport than swim
Quite possibly martial arts with its position in space and explosive rotation?
The work in the water using a balance of ridgidity and fluid, relaxed mechanics offered a perfect canvas for water rehab. Conversely, water rehab offered the perfect canvas for additional work in the weight room.
Both are inerchangeable in Fulcrum's view
